Welcome to NECJOGHA.org, the new Internet home of the Network of Climate Journalists of the Greater Horn of Africa.
Using this state-of-the-art, community-based site, climate journalists, scientists and experts in the GHA will be able to share information and ideas. All registered users will have access to features such as:
- Blogging with full comment system.
- Event posting with calendar format.
- Forum participation with multiple scientific and regional topics.
- Full member profiles with contact options.
- Member browse and search by profile.
- Integrated private messaging system.
- Ability to post information in one or more official languages of the GHA, including English, French, Arabic, Swahili, Somali, Luganda, Tigrinya, Kirundi and others.
Both registered and non-registered (public) users will have access to features like:
- Information about NECJOGHA and its leadership, along with contact information and leadership profiles.
- Official news stories and photos on the front page that will help all keep up-to-date on the latest climate and environmental news in the GHA.
- Ability to read all forums and blog posts.
- RSS feeds
In the coming months, you can look for even more new features, such as:
- Translatable interface into official languages of the GHA.
- Group formation by interest or oganisation.
